Winnie the Pooh Bedtime Story

It’s a warm and sunny morning in the Hundred Acre Wood, and the animals are starting a new day.But for Piglet, no matter how bright the sun is, a shadow lingers in his heart.

You should know that Piglet was very small, the shortest one in the forest.Because he was so small, he always felt that the world was too big and scary for him.He would jump when the wind blew the trees, he would scream when a leaf fell on his head, and he would even hide under the quilt when it thundered and rained, not daring to go out.

Sometimes, obviously in his own safe and cozy little bed, Piggy still has nightmares. He is afraid of the dark, afraid of the sound, afraid of being alone …… In short, as long as a little bit of wind and grass, he will be scared and trembling.

Nightmare Fright Night.

That night, Piggy had another frightening dream. He dreamed that he was picking up acorns in the forest and one fell on his head.Suddenly, a big acorn fell and hit him on the head, and he was so frightened that he shouted, “Hey, why are you hitting me!”But to his even greater horror, the acorn opened its mouth and spoke!

“I’m so small that you’re surprised by me?”The acorn said with an innocent face.

Piggy was going crazy: “You can actually talk!”

What was even more frightening was that a large group of acorns suddenly surrounded him and said they were going to take him away.Piggy was so scared that he tried his best to run away, running faster and faster, but the acorns followed him closely. He felt that he could hardly breathe, and his heart was beating like a drum.

Just when he was about to cry from fear, a familiar and gentle voice came to his ears, “Good morning, little piggy!”

“Ahhhhhh-!”Little Pig yelled and bounced out of bed. When he rubbed his eyes, it turned out that it wasn’t Acorn talking, it was his old friend – Winnie the Pooh.

“Piglet, are you all right?”Pooh asked worriedly.

“I just had a super scary dream.”Piglet gasped, “I dreamed that lots of acorns were running after me, and some of them could talk!”

Pooh patted Piglet on the shoulder and said, “I have nightmares all the time, too, and my dreams are always about the honey running out. It’s so scary!”

Piglet looked sad and asked, “So how do you make yourself feel better after you have a nightmare?”

Pooh scratched his head and said, “I just don’t think about it.”

“But the more I try not to think about it, the more I think about what happened in the dream, and I still feel terrible.”Piglet muttered in a small voice.

“Let’s go ask mommy kangaroo then, she always has a solution.”Pooh suggested.

Piglet nodded, thinking it was a good idea.

Winnie the Pooh Bedtime Story

Find a way.

Together, Piglet and Pooh set off to find Mama Kangaroo. The forest was full of light and shadows, and the shadows of the trees looked like gaping monsters, and Piglet looked back as they walked, fearing that a shadow might follow them.

Finally, they arrived at Mama Kangaroo and Pea’s house.

“Hello, Piglet and Pooh!”Pea greeted cheerfully.

“We came to see your mom to ask what to do to stop being afraid of nightmares.”Pooh said.

Piglet added in a whisper, “And those scary shadows ……”

Pea nodded and said, “I was afraid of shadows when I was little, I always thought they were like ghosts. But my mom taught me a game to play that let me turn scary things into fun.”

“Really? How did you do that?”Piglet asked with wide eyes.

“Imagination game!”Pea said with a smile, “Let me teach you.”

So the three of them went back to the forest together, and Little Bean pointed to a shadow of a tree and said, “Look, I’m going to imagine this shadow as a big kite.”

With that, Little Bean began to “fly the kite”, and as he ran, he shouted, “Look, the kite is flying so high!”

Pooh was also excited, he found a round shadow on the ground, it looked like his favorite honey pot, he immediately squatted down and pretended to lick the honey: “Wow!I’ve found a super-sized honey pot!”

Piggy was a bit scared, but when he saw how much fun they were having, he couldn’t help but give it a try.He found a tree shadow that looked like a balloon. He gently grabbed the balloon’s strings and spun it around in place.

“Hey, so this really isn’t so scary anymore!”Piglet laughed.

Tigger’s Scare Plan.

At that moment, a huge black shadow suddenly appeared behind them, “Hello, Piglet!”

Piglet jumped in fright, and it turned out to be Tigger.

“You scared me!”Piglet said with a frown on his face.

Tigger scratched his head in embarrassment, “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.Was my sudden appearance too scary?”

“Yeah!I was about to cry when you jumped out without saying hello.”

Tigger thought for a moment and said, “Then I’ll have to think of a way to make you not afraid of my sudden appearance.”

Piglet was just feeling relieved when Tigger added, “From now on, I’m going to pop up more often so you’ll get used to it!”

Piglet was confused, “Huh?Does that really work?”

“Let’s give it a try!”Tigger said and hid behind a tree.

They continued walking and as they walked, Tigger jumped out and yelled, “Ha-!”

“I’m not afraid!”Piggy said smugly.

“Wow, it really works!”Tigger clapped his hands.

When the storm came.

Just as they were having fun, Mama Kangaroo appeared.

“It’s going to storm, everyone go home!”She shouted.

Piglet looked up to see dark clouds and thunder rolling in.

Everyone scattered, and Piglet was left behind.Suddenly, footsteps came from behind, and Piglet turned his head in fright, but it was Eeyore.

“You scared me ……,” Piglet whispered.

“Sorry.”Eeyore lowered his head, “I just …… didn’t want to be alone.”

“I don’t want to be alone either.”Piglet whispered.

Suddenly, there was a loud clap of thunder and a heavy rain poured down. The two rushed to hide under a big tree.

Piggy thought about it and said, “We can’t stay under the tree for too long, it’s too dangerous.Come on, let’s go to Little Bean’s house.”

Actually, Piglet was scared to death in his heart, but he knew that Eeyore needed help more.So Piglet pulled Eeyore along and together they ran through the rain.

They rushed into Little Bean’s house, soaking wet, but with smiles on their faces.

Pooh looked at them and said, “Piglet, you have become so brave today!”

Piglet thought for a moment and said, “I’m still a little scared la.But I know that as long as I’m not alone, I can muster up the courage.”

The truth behind the story.

This story is about, in fact, not only Piggy’s fear of acorns, shadows, and the sound of thunder, but more importantly – all of us are afraid at times.

Piggy is a little guy who worries easily, and his worries may sound a little cute, but if we were ourselves, wouldn’t we often be afraid of the night, afraid of failing, and afraid of being alone?

This story tells us in a very warm way: fear is not really scary, what is scary is that we face it alone.

Sometimes, a word from a good friend, a game of imagination, or the courage to take a risk can turn us from “scared” to “not so scared”.

What does this story tell us?

  1. Fear is a normal thing.
Whether it’s Piggy or you or me, everyone has something to be afraid of.But it’s not a weakness, it’s part of our growth.
  2. Bravery is not being unafraid, it’s being willing to face up to fear even though you know it.
Piggy rushes into the downpour at the end even though he is still afraid of the thunder, but he pulls Eeyore along with him.He became brave because he was willing to stand up for his friends.
  3. The support of friends is important.
Throughout the story, Piglet wasn’t fighting alone. He had Pooh, Pea, Tigger and Eeyore. In their own ways, they help him face his fears a little bit.
  4. Imagination is a great tool.
Little Bean teaches us to imagine the “scary shadow” as a “fun kite”, and to look at things from a different perspective, so that the world may become a different place.

Children, or rather, every adult who still has a “piggy” in his heart, please remember:

You are not alone, many things are not so terrible, as long as you are willing to bravely step forward, you are already becoming stronger.
