And Sasuke straight-up got the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan! Shouldn’t unlocking the perfect version be automatic? But then… he just kinda hangs out in his skeleton armor most of the time. Something felt off.
So, fired up the laptop and dove into the fight scenes where Sasuke goes full power after the war:
- Kaguya Fight: Big scary purple skeleton dude. Looked awesome and strong. But… no legs? I mean, come on, Perfect Susanoo has legs, right?
- Naruto Final Duel: Still that skeletal look! He gets all flashy during “Indra’s Arrow,” wrapping the skeleton with chakra armor and giant wings. Definitely more advanced, way more firepower. But honestly? It still screamed “wrapped skeleton warrior” more than “solid, complete armored god.” Felt kinda hollow.
- The Gaiden & Beyond: Kept watching, kept reading. Against Momoshiki? Still rocking the armored skeleton suit. Strong? Hell yes! But the silhouette never screamed “complete” to me. Always looked like there was something missing underneath all that power.
The Lightbulb Moment
The penny dropped. Sasuke skipped the training wheels. He jumped straight past the goofy flesh stages. Like, dude never did the “rib cage,” never bulked up the muscle form (except maybe hinting at it quickly in early stages). Nah, he got those super eyes and bang, instant skeletal structure + armored upgrades + wings. Maximum battle power, zero fluff.
I started calling it Sasuke’s “Final Susanoo.” It’s not the same as Madara’s or Itachi’s rumored “Perfect Susanoo,” which looked like solid, fully enclosed warriors. Sasuke’s version? It traded that solid statue look for pure lethality. It gets the job done – crazy defense with the giant shield? Big power? Check. Flight? Check. But it keeps that lean, mean, kinda-see-through power core look because… that’s just how he unlocked it. Straight to the ultimate defense he needed.
So, does he unlock Perfect Susanoo? Maybe not the dictionary definition Madara used. But he unlocked HIS ultimate defense: a high-speed, high-power, winged skeletal warrior packing insane firepower. Sometimes the shortcut gets you exactly where you need to be. He doesn’t have legs on it, but damn, he sure doesn’t need them.
