1. The little fox is lonely
In a big, green forest lives a cute little fox called Xi Xi. It has a fluffy red coat and a big, fluffy tail, and it looks really cute. But Xi Xi is lonely, because when the other animals see its pointy muzzle and ears, they run away in fear. This made him feel very lonely.
One morning, the sun shone through the leaves and shone on the ground, as beautiful as golden palmettes. Feifei poked his head out of the tree hole, stretched, and made up his mind: “Today I must find a friend!” So he shook himself off, set off at a brisk pace.
2. Meeting the little squirrel, Jumpy
not gone far, and saw a young squirrel jumping from branch to branch, with a large pine cone in its mouth. The young squirrel was called Jumping, and was eating it with relish. Fei Fei’s eyes lit up, and she quickly ran over, tilting her head and smiling, “Hi, Jumping! Look how beautiful this forest is, shall we play together?”
Tiaotiao was startled and almost dropped the pine cone. It clung to the tree trunk, wide-eyed, and said, “You…you’re a fox! You’ll eat me, I’m not playing with you!” After saying this, it jumped to a higher branch with a “whoosh” and disappeared.
Tiaotiao’s ears drooped and it sighed, “Alas, it seems that everyone has a deep misunderstanding of me.” However, it did not give up and continued walking.
3. The little rabbit Bai Bai’s refusal
Before long, Xixi arrived at a clear stream. Beside the stream, a little white rabbit was washing its face with its paws. This little rabbit was called Bai Bai. Xixi approached carefully and said softly, “Hello, Bai Bai! I’m Xixi. Can you be my friend and play in the stream with me?”
Upon hearing this, Bai Bai’s fur stood on end with fear, and she jumped back, “You cunning fox, stay away from me! You’re the one who stole my carrots last time, don’t think I don’t know!”
Feifei hurriedly waved his hands to explain, “It wasn’t me, really wasn’t me! You’ve got the wrong person!” But Bai Bai didn’t listen at all, and turned around and ran away.
Feifei was extremely aggrieved, tears welling up in his eyes: “I’ve never done anything bad, why doesn’t anyone believe me?” He sat by the stream, looking at the babbling water, and felt extremely sad.
4. Bear Bump’s suspicions
After a while, Feifei felt her stomach growling with hunger and decided to find something to eat first. Following a tempting smell, she found the little bear, Bun-Bun. Bun-Bun was grilling fish, the golden flesh sizzling and the aroma filling the air.
Feifei couldn’t help but swallow, and she walked up to him, whispering, “Bun-Bun, the fish you’re grilling smells delicious! Can I trade you some wild fruit I found for a little food? I’m really hungry.”
Bun-Bun looked at Him-Him warily and hid the fish behind his back: “Hmph, you sly fox, I’m not falling for that! You’re just trying to take my fish while I’m not looking.”
Him-Him said anxiously, “I really don’t have any bad intentions, I just want to make friends and share food together.” But Bun-Bun still waved his bear paws at him to get him to go: “Go away, don’t mess around here!”
5. The cabin at the edge of the forest
Despairing, Xi Xi dragged her heavy feet aimlessly, and before she knew it, she had arrived at an abandoned cabin at the edge of the forest. The inside of the cabin was covered in dust, and cobwebs were hanging in the corners. Xi Xi curled up in a corner and sobbed, “Why doesn’t anyone want to be friends with me? Is it because I’m a fox?”
As she cried, she fell asleep. When she woke up, it was already dark. Thunder rumbled, lightning flashed, the wind howled, and heavy rain poured down. Not caring about her own sadness, she worried, “Will everyone be in danger in this heavy rain?” So she dashed out of the cabin and ran into the forest.
6. Rescuing the animals
The rain pelted against Cici, and its fur quickly became soaked. It shivered with the cold, but it did not stop for a moment, running in deep puddles along the muddy path.
When he reached the area around the rabbit Baibai’s house, he heard a cry for help. Following the sound, he found that the entrance to Baibai’s house had been washed away by the rain, and Baibai was trapped inside. Without hesitation, Hei Hei rushed over and used his paws to desperately dig away the mud and stones, shouting, “Baibai, don’t be afraid, I’m here to save you!”
Finally, the hole was dug open. Bai Bai looked at the drenched and dishevelled Hihi with terror and joy: “Hihi, thank you! I was wrong about you.”
Then Hihi and Bai Bai went to help the other animals. They found a little squirrel called Jumps, who was trapped in a tree. Hihi told Jumps to climb down her tail. They also helped a bear called Stupid to put up his tent again, which had been blown down by the wind.
7. The beginning of a friendship
The rain stopped and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. The animals gathered around Feifei. Hop hop scratched his head sheepishly and said, “Feifei, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have misunderstood you at the beginning. You’re really a good person, let’s be friends!”
Bai bai also came over with a blush on her face and said, ”Feifei, thank you for saving me. I’m willing to be friends with you, let’s play together in the future!”
Bumby smiled foolishly and handed over the grilled fish: “Feifei, I was wrong! Let’s eat the grilled fish together!”
Feifei looked at the sincere smiling faces of everyone and her eyes welled up with tears. She said happily, “That’s great, I finally have friends!”
8. The cozy forest
From then on, the forest could often be seen with the figure of Cici playing and sharing food with her friends. The forest also became more warm and happy.
This story tells us that true friendship needs time and action to prove. Even if others misunderstand you at first, as long as you treat them with kindness and courage, you will win their trust and friendship one day.
