Today we are going to tell a very interesting story called “Alice in Wonderland“. This story is about a little girl named Alice who experiences a series of magical events in a wonderful kingdom. In this world, there are talking animals, people made of playing cards, and mushrooms that can make people bigger or smaller.Alice eats a magic mushroom to make herself bigger so that she can fight the terrifying Queen of Hearts. Just as the card soldiers charge her, she suddenly wakes up and realizes it was all a dream.
Let’s take a closer look at this fantastic story!
1. A Strange Rabbit Changes Alice’s Day
It was a hot summer afternoon and Alice and her sister were sitting under a big tree reading books. Alice felt a little bored and was about to fall asleep when she suddenly saw a rabbit, dressed in clothes and holding a pocket watch, run past her.
The rabbit ran off, muttering to himself, “Oh no, I’m going to be late!”
“What a strange rabbit!” Alice was surprised and curious, so she followed the rabbit.
The rabbit ran and ran and finally jumped into a very deep hole in a tree. Alice jumped in after it. She fell and fell for a long time, so long that she almost fell asleep, and finally, with a “bang,” she landed on the ground and fell on a pile of thick leaves.
2. Encountering the Magic Room: The Golden Key and the Mysterious Bottle of Water
After jumping out of the tree hole, Alice stood up and looked around. There was a long corridor in front of her, and the rabbit had already run past it. She hurried after him and ran all the way to a strange room.
But the rabbit was gone!
There were many doors on all four walls of the room, but every door was closed. Alice thought, “The rabbit must have gone out through one of the doors.
There was also a glass table in the room, with a small golden key in the middle. Alice took the key and tried to open the doors on the wall, but the key was too small to open the big doors.
She went back to the table and suddenly noticed a bottle of water on it. Three words were written on the bottle: “Drink me.”
Alice thought about it and decided to try it. She drank it and a strange thing happened – her body began to shrink!
When she was completely small, she noticed a small door on the wall that she hadn’t noticed before because she was too big. Through the small hole in the door, she saw a beautiful garden outside.
But now she was too small to reach the golden key on the table. What was she going to do?
Just then, she noticed a cookie jar next to the table leg with the words “Eat me” written on it.
Alice hesitated, but decided to eat the cookies inside. This time, her body began to slowly grow larger and larger until she almost hit the ceiling!
She was terrified and couldn’t help but cry, tears streaming down her face, turning the whole room into a pond.

3. Swimming in the Pool of Tears
At that moment, Alice realized that she was in the water. It turned out that she had been crying so much that her tears had turned the whole room into a pool!
There were also some small animals swimming in the pool. They were having a swimming contest, but after a long time they still couldn’t decide who had won.
When they saw Alice, they asked her to be the referee. Alice had no choice but to give each animal a prize.
Just then, the rabbit with the clothes came back. He was looking for his fan and gloves, but when he saw Alice looking like a giant, he was so scared that he dropped everything and ran away.
Alice picked up the fan and waved it a few times, and her body slowly began to shrink, and finally she fell out of the water and left the strange room.
4. The Rabbit’s House Adventure
Later, the rabbit returned to look for his forgotten fan and gloves. Seeing Alice, the rabbit invited her to visit his house.
At the rabbit’s house, Alice drank some water and her body grew again. She ate some more cake and her body returned to normal.
She found that this feeling of changing size was not fun at all. Being big one moment and small the next made her feel very uncomfortable. So she said goodbye to the rabbit and went into the forest by herself.
5. Meeting the Caterpillar: The secret of the magic mushroom
In the forest, Alice was walking when she saw a caterpillar on a big mushroom. The caterpillar was smoking a pipe and looked very relaxed.
The caterpillar said to her, “Do you know what this is? This is a ‘magic mushroom. If you eat the left side, you will grow bigger; if you eat the right side, you will shrink.
Alice found this very interesting. She broke off a piece of the left side of the mushroom and ate it. Sure enough, her body slowly got bigger. Then she broke off a piece of the right side and ate it, and her body slowly shrank again.
She carefully put the rest of the mushroom in her pocket to use later.
6. Asking for Directions to the Duchess’ House
Alice still wanted to see the beautiful garden. So she continued on her way and came to a house. She knocked on the door.
Alice didn’t see the Duchess, but she saw a crazy cook running around the kitchen, pots and pans flying everywhere.
There was also a cat sitting nearby, laughing coldly from time to time.
Alice asked the cat, “Excuse me, how can I get into the big garden?”
The cat lazily pointed to a path and said, “Follow that path and you will meet the hatter.
7. The Strange Tea Party: The Hatter, the Hare and the Dormouse
Alice followed the cat’s directions and soon found the Hatter’s house. She went in and found the hatter having tea with a rabbit and a dormouse.
The three of them drank tea and talked, but what they said sounded strange and nonsensical, completely illogical.
For example, the Hatter said, “Yesterday I knew that tomorrow I would forget what happened today.
The Dormouse continued, “When I was little, I hated growing up.
The Hare laughed and said, “Actually, I like rainy days because my ears don’t get sunburned.
Alice was totally confused. She thought these people were very strange and didn’t want to listen any more, so she left.
8. Back to the Starting Point: The Golden Key and the Magic Mushroom Come in Handy Again
Alice continued walking and saw a door on a big tree. She went closer and was surprised to see, “Isn’t this the room with the golden key?”
She opened the door and went inside, took the golden key from the table, then took the mushroom from her pocket, ate a small piece from the right side and made her body shrink.
Then she used the key to open the small door in the corner of the wall and finally entered the beautiful garden!
9. The Card Kingdom Croquet Game
As soon as she entered the garden, Alice saw three gardeners busy painting the flowers on a white rose bush red. These three gardeners looked a bit strange. They turned out to be three playing cards that had been transformed.
Before Alice could ask them why they were doing this, a group of people came over and were talking loudly and noisily.
She looked closely and saw that they were the King and Queen, accompanied by their ministers, who had come to play a game of croquet. These people weren’t real either – they were all transformed playing cards!
The queen exclaimed, “I want to watch the croquet game!”
Everyone immediately divided into two teams and the game began.
This game was very special:
- The mallets were live hedgehogs;
- The mallet handles were made of flamingos;
- The goalposts were made of bent soldiers.
As soon as the game began, the queen began to shout, “Whoever makes a mistake, I’ll cut off his head!”
Alice thought to herself, “This game is so difficult, even I might make a mistake.
After the game, Alice went for a walk in the garden and met a turtle. They chatted for a while, and an eagle joined the conversation. Just as everyone was having a good time, a loud call came from afar: “Court is in session!”
10. The Magic Court: A Ridiculous Trial
Alice and the other animals went to watch the trial.
They saw the King and Queen sitting on high seats, surrounded by all kinds of animals and playing cards, who had come to be witnesses.
The reason for the trial was that someone had stolen the Queen’s cake. But strangely enough, the cake was still on the table, not a crumb missing!
The queen was furious and shouted, “I will have you all beheaded! You, you, and you!”
She pointed at the rabbit, the milliner, the dormouse, the cook, and Alice.
As the card soldiers rushed at her, Alice quickly ate the magic mushroom in her pocket, making herself bigger and bigger.
She stood there and shouted, “I’m not afraid of you! You’re just pieces of paper!”
The playing cards waved their weapons and rushed at her…
11. When she woke up, she realized it was all a dream.
Just then, Alice suddenly woke up. She rubbed her eyes and found herself still sitting under the big tree with her sister beside her.
It turned out that everything that had just happened was just a dream!
The rabbits, the garden, the Queen of Hearts, the magic mushrooms… everything was gone.
