1. Changes in the life of an ordinary family
Once upon a time there was a merchant who lived with his three daughters. They lived happily in the city where they were rich and prosperous.
But one day, the merchant’s business ran into trouble. He lost money several times in a row and finally spent all his savings, and the family had no choice but to move to the countryside.
After moving to the countryside, their life became very difficult. Their house was much smaller and not as comfortable as before. The two older daughters often complained, “Why do we have to live here? We used to have such a good life!”
But the youngest daughter, Bella, was different. She never complained. Instead, she often helped her father with chores and grew vegetables and flowers in the garden. She always faced life’s difficulties with a smile.
2. A Failed Trip
One day, the merchant heard about a good business opportunity in town, so he decided to give it a try. He said to his daughters, “If I am successful this time, I will bring back a gift for each of you.
The two older sisters immediately exclaimed, “We want beautiful clothes and shiny jewelry!”
Bella smiled and said, “Daddy, if you find a rose, please bring it back for me.
The merchant set out, but things did not go as he had hoped, and his business failed again. He went home disappointed, and suddenly it began to snow heavily.
To escape the wind and snow, he went into a forest. But he got lost and couldn’t find his way out.
As he walked, he saw a castle in front of him that looked very dilapidated. He thought to himself, “Although the house is a little old, I can take shelter from the snow for a while. So he went inside.

3. The Mysterious Castle and its Terrible Owner
When the merchant entered the castle, he found that it was actually very nice. The table was full of hot food and sweet wine, as if someone had just left.
He ate while calling out, “Is anyone there? Can I come in?” But no one answered him.
When he woke up the next morning, breakfast was already prepared, but he still didn’t see anyone.
After eating, he went for a walk in the garden. It was full of beautiful roses. Thinking of his little daughter Bella, he picked a rose to take home to her.
Just as he was picking the flower, he heard a terrible voice: “How could you do this to me? I’ve been so good to you, and you steal my flowers?”
The merchant was so frightened that he almost fell down. He looked up and saw a huge beast standing before him.
The beast angrily said, “You must pay for what you have done. You must send your youngest daughter to keep me company, or you will not leave here alive.
The merchant was terrified and had no choice but to agree. The beast gave him a large chest of gold coins and let him go.
4. Bella arrives at the castle
When the merchant returned home, he told his three daughters what had happened. The two older sisters, instead of worrying about their father’s safety, said, “Let Bella go. She loves roses, so she might even be happy there.
Bella looked at her sad father and said gently, “Father, don’t be sad. I’ll go to the castle with you and see that the beast doesn’t hurt you.
So Bella arrived at the castle. She expected to meet a ferocious monster, but to her surprise, although the beast looked terrifying, it was very kind to her.
He never came near Bella for fear of frightening her. He also gave her a magic mirror that allowed her to see her family from afar. That way, Bella wouldn’t be sad because she missed them.
Every night, the Beast would ask Bella from afar, “Will you marry me?”
Bella always answered seriously, “No, I don’t love you, so I can’t marry you.”
5. A request to return home
One day Bella saw her father sick through the magic mirror. She was very worried and said to the Beast, “Please let me go home to my father! I promise I’ll be back in a week.”
The Beast was very sad, but he agreed and told her, “If you don’t come back, I will be very upset.
Bella returned home and took good care of her father until he was fully recovered.
When her two sisters saw their sister return, they were very unhappy. They envied Bella for her comfortable life in the castle.
As Bella prepared to return to the castle, her oldest sister pulled her hand and said, “Can you stay a few more days? What if Dad gets sick again?
Bella hesitated, then decided to stay another day.
The next morning, she remembered her promise to return on time and felt uneasy. She took out a mirror and saw the beast lying on the ground, his face contorted in pain, still calling her name.
Bella immediately packed her bags and hurried back to the castle, ignoring her sisters’ pleas.
6. The Power of Love Changes Destiny
Bella finally made it back to the castle and searched everywhere for the Beast. Finally, she found him in a rosebush. He looked like he was dying, pale and weak.
“I’m back!” Bella hugged him and said, “I’m sorry I was late. I will marry you, please don’t die!”
Having said that, she kissed the Beast.
A miracle happened! The Beast’s body began to change, gradually transforming into a handsome prince.
The prince opened his eyes and smiled and said, “Thank you for saving me, dear Bella. I was cursed by a witch, and only a girl who truly loves me and is willing to marry me can break the spell.”
Bella and the prince lived happily ever after.
