Best Mods for Excalibur Ultimate Warframe Mod Setup Guide for Excalibur

So today I figured I’d tinker with my Excalibur setup again. Been running this warframe forever, but something felt off during those high-level missions lately. Kept getting slapped around way too much. Thought it was time for a serious mod overhaul.

Where I Started

Dusted off the old config. Had the basic stuff – ya know, Vitality for health, Intensify to pump up the abilities, the usual suspects. Damage with the Exalted Blade felt okay, I guess, but clearing waves took ages. And if a Bombard sneezed on me? Down I went. Not cool.

The Tinkering Phase

Cracked open my mod collection and started experimenting. Remembered those Umbral mods sitting around. Slapped on Umbral Intensify, Umbral Vitality, and took a deep breath to fit Umbral Fiber in too. Cost a fortune in capacity and needed some Forma, but man, just adding these three made a HUGE difference. Suddenly I wasn’t made of wet paper anymore!

Next up: making that Exalted Blade actually slice through tougher enemies like butter.

  • Hooked up Condition Overload. Seemed logical – hit ’em with something to weaken ’em first, then unleash the blade. Synergy!
  • Found Healing Return hiding in my stash. Figured why not? Heal a bit while chopping? Seemed handy for surviving the chaos.
  • Pushed the damage higher with Primed Pressure Point (finally maxed that bad boy) and Primed Fury for pure swing speed insanity.

Played a mission. Chaining Radial Blind (hello status effects for Condition Overload!) and then going ham with the sword felt amazing. Health bars just melted.

Filling the Gaps

Okay, Umbral mods are tanky but they eat up space like crazy. Needed more efficiency and duration for spamming abilities.

  • Snuck in Streamline and Continuity. Had to sacrifice a tiny bit of rank on the Umbral Vitality to fit ’em, but being able to blind and slash more often? Worth it.
  • Stuck Adaptation on there. Got smacked around a bit on purpose testing it – feels good not dying instantly to random AoE nonsense now. Takes a second to kick in, but when it does? Huge.

Putting it All Together

Ended up running this config:

  • Umbral Intensify (Maxed)
  • Umbral Vitality (R8)
  • Umbral Fiber (R8)
  • Adaptation
  • Streamline (Maxed)
  • Primed Continuity (Maxed)

For the Exalted Blade itself:

  • Condition Overload
  • Healing Return
  • Primed Pressure Point (Maxed)
  • Primed Fury
  • Organ Shatter (For them juicy crits!)
  • Gladiator Might (Bit extra crit damage punch)

Took it for a spin in a Steel Path mission. Night and day difference! Felt actually tanky, the Exalted Blade sliced through level 100+ Grineer like they were nothing, and the constant heals meant I could stay swinging in the middle of a pack. Still gotta watch out for toxin procs though, screw those things.

Final Thoughts

This setup feels crazy strong now. Blinding groups, jumping in, and just blenderizing everything while staying surprisingly tough? Yeah, much happier with my space ninja murder machine. Took some Forma and fiddling, but man was it worth the hassle. Back to carving through the Star Chart!
