Listening to a short story every night before going to bed not only helps us relax, but also teaches us some useful lessons.Today I’m going to tell a few special short stories, each of which is very short, but they all harbor different life lessons.Let’s read them together!
First story: the ant looking for the sea.
There was a little ant who always had a dream – to see the sea with his own eyes.Although it was a tiny ant and couldn’t swim, it didn’t give up.In order to realize the dream, it began to practice swimming, and insisted on training every day, and finally became a master swimmer.
One day, it packed its bags, took dry food and water with it, and set out on a journey to find the sea.He traveled for a long time, but he couldn’t find the sea.Slowly, he got discouraged and thought, “Maybe I will never see the sea in my life.”
Just as it was about to go home, a snail crawled slowly over to it and said warmly, “Hey, little ant, how are you?”
The little ant said sullenly, “Hello ……”
The snail asked, “Why don’t you look too happy?”
The little ant sighed and said, “I want to see the ocean, but I’ve been looking for it for a long time and I can’t find it, so I’m about to give up.”
The snail smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I know where the sea is, I can take you there.”
When the little ant heard this, he was immediately happy and followed the snail onward.Soon after, they came to a vast sea.The little ant was so excited to see the boundless sea water that he hurriedly took off his clothes and jumped into the sea.
At this time, a little bird flew over from the sky, saw this scene, and said strangely, “Huh?How come there are ants swimming in the gutter?”
This story tells us that as long as you don’t give up, there will always be someone willing to help you realize your dreams together.Sometimes, what we think we can’t do is actually just that we haven’t met the person who can take you to your goal.
The second story: Clumsy Bear opens a small shop.
In the forest there lived a big bear named Dum Dum Bear, who opened a small store specializing in selling daily necessities such as candies, salts, and cookies. Many animals came to buy things in his store and business was good.
One day, the little flower snake came into the store and said, “Boss, I want to buy a bag of candy.”
The bear nodded and gave him a bag of candy. The snake took the candy and went home happily.
But the next day, the snake came back in a rage and said, “What’s the matter with you, Clumsy Bear?I asked for sugar and you gave me a bag of salt!I put this ‘sugar’ in my stir-fry last night, and it was so salty that I almost couldn’t eat!”
Clumsy Bear then realized that he had taken the wrong thing, and hurriedly apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I was careless. How about this, I’ll give you another bag of real sugar as an apology.”
Little Flower Snake only then got angry, before leaving also reminded Bumble Bear: “In the future you can not be so sloppy, or less and less customers, your store will close sooner or later.”
The bear nodded his head and made up his mind: “I must be more serious in the future, I can’t always make this kind of low-level mistakes.”
This story tells us that you have to be careful in doing things, especially in business, if you always make mistakes, people will not trust you. Moreover, you should be brave enough to admit your mistakes and correct them in time after doing something wrong.

The third story: the little hedgehog and the little monkey.
The little hedgehog and the little monkey were good friends, and they often went to the mountain to pick fruit together.
On the first day, they set out early in the morning. The little monkey was walking and playing, either catching butterflies or teasing squirrels, and didn’t take picking fruit seriously at all.The little hedgehog, on the other hand, was very serious, picking fruits one by one, and in a short time he filled up the basket.
When the sun was going down, the little hedgehog said to the little monkey, “Look, I have picked so many fruits, let’s eat them together tonight!”
The little monkey was very happy to hear this.
The next day, they went to the mountain again. This time the little monkey simply lay down on the grass and sunbathed, thinking, “Anyway, the little hedgehog will pick a lot of fruit, so I’ll just share a little, so why work so hard?”
The little hedgehog was very uncomfortable when he saw the little monkey doing nothing but lying down.Still, it picked the fruit alone and in silence, and picked a lot.
On the way home, the little monkey said with a smile, “Little Hedgehog, give me a share of the fruit.”
The little hedgehog shook his head and said, “No, this is the fruit I worked so hard to pick, why should I share it with you?You have to pay to get something, you want to eat the ready-made without working, how can that be?”
When the little monkey heard this, his face turned red and he lowered his head and whispered, “I’m sorry, I know I’m wrong.”
This story tells us that if you want something, you have to put in the effort first. It is not right to sit back and enjoy what you get. Only when you work hard and labor by yourself can you really have the joy of harvest.
The fourth story: The Little Donkey and the Cake.
One day, the little donkey went out shopping with his mother and passed a cake store. The smell of the fragrant cake wafted out, and the little donkey smelled it and drooled.
It took his mom’s hand and said, “Mom, I want to eat cake, let’s buy one back!”
Mom looked at the cake and thought for a moment and said, “Okay, then let’s buy one and try it.”
When they got home, Little Donkey looked at the tempting cake and couldn’t help but say, “Mom, I want to eat the cake now.”
Mom said, “No, you can’t, you haven’t eaten lunch yet, eating sweets before dinner will affect your appetite.”
But the little donkey couldn’t resist and secretly ate the whole cake when his mom wasn’t looking. When it was time to eat, it was so full that it didn’t want to eat any more.
Mom looked at Little Donkey and said helplessly, “Didn’t I say you can’t eat snacks before meals? You are now bloated like a ball of skin, and you can’t even eat your dinner.”
The little donkey lowered his head in embarrassment and said, “Mom, I was wrong and I will never do that again.”
This story tells us that we should learn to control ourselves and obey the rules. If you always do what you want and don’t listen to advice, you will suffer in the end.
Fifth story: the dream of Diddy the bear.
Winter is coming and the weather has become especially cold.Diddy the bear and his mother hid in a tree hole early to hibernate. One day, Diddy had a very interesting dream.
In the dream, a little bird gently knocked on the window of Diddy’s house and said excitedly, “Diddy Diddy, wake up, the outside world has changed, come and go out with me to see it!”
Dee Dee Dee rubbed his eyes and followed the bird out of the tree hole.Wow!Outside is no longer snowy, but colorful spring. The grass was filled with all kinds of beautiful flowers.
The bird took Didi through the flowers to a clear river. The river sang and sang and flowed happily.Diddy was so happy that he jumped onto a rock in the center of the river and played with the river.
As he played, Didi suddenly woke up and realized that he was still lying in the hole of the tree, so he had just been dreaming.
It looked down and realized that there was a box of crayons on the ground, and immediately got into the spirit, “Haha, I’m going to draw the scenery in my dream!”So it jumped out of bed, picked up the crayons and drew flowers, rivers and birds on the wall.
At this time, mom also woke up and saw that Didi was not in bed, she quickly said, “Didi, why are you up?Go back to bed and sleep.”
Diddy had to put down his crayon and lay down on his bed obediently.Lying on the bed, he thought of the beautiful scenery in his dream and felt happy: “It’s all right, tomorrow I can continue to play with the birds and the river in my dream.”
This story tells us that imagination is very valuable.Even if there are many restrictions in real life, we can still fly freely in our dreams and create our own world.
